A New Addition to the Chex Gluten-Free Family

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend Food Fete. While this was not a 100% gluten-free event, there were many companies featuring products that were gluten-free. There was one product that I was particularly excited about. Apple Cinnamon Chex!

I have been a lover of the Chex cereals since going gluten-free. Not only because the cereals taste great, but because the cereals are fortified. This is something that we don’t always see in many gluten-free products. Personally I have enjoyed all the Chex flavors. Although, my personal favorite has always been the Honey Nut! However, after trying the Apple Cinnamon Chex the Honey Nut Chex has some serious competition. The minute I tried the Apple Cinnamon Chex I was in love. It was like you were eating real apples and cinnamon. Some have compared it to apple pie, however, I have never been someone who ate apple pie, so I can’t make this comparison. All I know is they are delicious. Have them for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner, or a snack. It is your choice. Personally I have enjoyed all four options!

Being introduced to the Apple Cinnamon Chex came at the perfect time, especially since my dietitian recommended I eat Chex and fruit in the morning to increase my iron intake. I have now been thinking of ideas of how to put them in a snack mix. However, if you don’t want to get creative like me, head to the Chex website and check out all of their recipes.

This past week Chex graciously sent me a box of their newest family member in a beautiful basket, and agreed to do a giveaway with Embrace G-Free! Not only did they agree to give away 5 boxes of cereal to 5 of my lucky readers, but they are giving away an Apple Cinnamon Chex basket to one grand prize winner!

Apple Cinnamon Chex is truly a cereal the whole family can enjoy! Each batch is sprinkled with apples and cinnamon, and is made with nine whole grains per serving. Keep your eyes out for Apple Cinnamon Chex because they will be available nationwide starting July 2012! To learn more about Chex visit their website
